The Computer Information Systems and Technology (CIST) program of the University of Pittsburgh, Bradford Campus is a student-centric academic major dedicated to training qualified IT professionals demanded by industries and graduate schools.

In our program, you’ll get a broad IT background. You’ll learn about programming applications, network development, systems design and analysis, Web technologies, multimedia applications, database development and systems administration. We’ll prepare you to work in a team environment. To manage and lead companies and people in the translation of information technology into business opportunities and competitive advantages.

You’ll sit in small classes. You’ll get individual attention from our industry-experienced faculty. You’ll gain hands-on experiences in lab, during at least one internship, and in research opportunities and a capstone course.

Incoming students will be considered for special  merit scholarships just for CIS&T freshmen, each worth $2,500 per year and renewable for four years.

We have a lot to offer and will help you go well beyond expectations. For example, Nnedimma Ugochukwu studied Mandarin at Fudan University in Shanghai then interned at Google.

100% of our CIS&T graduates in 2015 are either working or in graduate school.
